Hamed Haddadi suffered an injury to his right ankle during Friday’s heavy loss to China in the FIBA Diamond Ball Basketball Tournament.
Mainstay center said, “I am feeling good now and fully ready to play. At first, I was worried about the injury but my rehab is going well.”
“I would like to play Russia in the Olympics and think we will surprise the rival with our potency,” Haddadi added.
Iran is scheduled to face Russia on August 10. The team has been drawn with Russia, Argentina, Lithuania, Australia, and Croatia in Group A of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
