The Islamic Republic is to play host to the fifth Asian Junior Taekwondo Championships which will be held next year, an official says.

The fifth Asian Junior Taekwondo Championships will be held in Iran's Kish Island next year, said Gholamreza Ebrahimi, the secretary of Iran's Taekwondo Federation on Friday.
Ebrahimi pointed out that a committee would soon be set up to make decisions about the details of the event.
The Iranian men's taekwondo team has recently been crowned as the Asian champion after picking up 60 points at the 18th Asian Championships.
