The clubs
are not allowed to submit any players in the transfer window before the
settlement of their previous debts, according to the director of the
disciplinary committee of Iran’s football federation.
“These clubs
cannot work unless they reach a settlement with their creditors,” Mojtaba
Sharifi said.
The
suspended clubs are as follows: Tehran-based Persepolis and Esteghlal, Pas of
Hamedan, Rah Ahan of Shahr-e Ray, Qom’s Saba Battery, Esteghlal of Ahvaz, Paykan
of Ghazvin and Abu Moslem of Mashhad.
Meanwhile
Pas General Manager accused Iran’s football officials of having debts to the
clubs.
“The
federation has to pay TV rights, stadium advertisement and tickets rights to the
clubs,” Kazem Olyaei said.
