The Dutch coach Ernie Brandts has been appointed as the new manager of Iran's Rah Ahan Football Club, replacing Mehdi Tartar.

"The Dutch coach will arrive in the Iranian capital of Tehran next week to sign
a one-year contract with Rah Ahan," said the club's Chief Executive Mohammad
Hassan Ansarifard on Wednesday.
"Brandts came to Tehran earlier this
week and agreed to coach the team after visiting the club's facilities," he
added.
The 53-year-old coach is a former Dutch football defender, who
played for PSV Eindhoven, Roda JC Kerkrade, MVV Maastricht and De Graafschap.
Rah Ahan FC finished 11th in the Iranian Premier League (IPL) last
season is based in Tehran Province's Rey County.
