Iranian table tennis player Afshin Norouzi has been defeated by his Italian rival Mihai Bobocica at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

The Italian athlete managed to best Norouzi 4-2 Tuesday morning.
Norouzi was victorious over his opponent 12-10 and 11-9 in the second and fourth sets respectively but was defeated 11-7, 11-6, 11-4 and 12-10 in other sets.
The Iranian player lost to Bobocica 3-2 in their last competition in Qatar two years ago.
Bobocica currently ranks 112th worldwide, while Norouzi is placed 379th.
