Russia's Nazir Mankiev beat Sourian in the 55 kg category on Tuesday. The 23-year-old Iranian wrestler defeated his rivals from Bulgaria and Palau in his first two encounters and must now fight for the bronze medal. Sourian won both the Junior World Championships and Senior World Championships in 2005. He was also the 2007 and 2008 Asian gold medalist.
