Iran's national soccer team is to play against Palestine in the 5th West Asian Football Federation Championship (WAFF) in Tehran.

The match will be held at Tehran's 30,000-seater Takhti Stadium at 8:30 pm local time on Thursday.
Syria and Jordan will hold the first match of Group B in the same stadium at 5:45 pm.
Iran is in Group A competing with Qatar and Palestine. Group B will see Syria, Jordan and Oman.
Defending champion Iran is slated to face Qatar on August 11.
The 5th West Asian Football Federation Championship will end on August 15. Iran has won three of the four West Asian championship titles that have so far been awarded.
