Kaffashian made the request in a meeting with the German Ambassador to Tehran Herbert Honsowitz on Tuesday, Mehr news agency reported.
The ambassador praised the presence of Iranian players in the German Bundesliga and expressed his willingness for the two countries to boost sports ties.
Honsowitz pointed out that the match might be held after the Euro 2008 since the German team would be busy preparing itself for the event.
The Iranian national soccer team is to play a friendly match against Bosnia-Herzegovina at Tehran's Azadi Stadium on May 26 before it faces the UAE in the World Cup qualifiers on June 2.
Iran is in Group five of Asian World Cup qualifying tournament with Kuwait, Syria and the United Arab Emirates.
