Masoud Shojaei Officially Presented at Osasuna

The 24 years old Iranian international and Osasuna's third signing of the Summer Transfer season was officially introduced to Osasuna press and the fans by the vice president of CA Osasuna, Juan Pascual, and Sports Director, Juan Jose Lorenzo.

Masoud Shojaei, Iranian international with 15 caps arrived at Osasuna club with the ICT letter from UAE's Al Sharjah on Monday. His termination clause is set to be 6 million Euros during the first 18 months of his contract and 3.5 million in the remainder of his contract.

In his first press conference infront of Spanish media, Shojaei said: "Im thrilled to be here. When Osasuna told me to come here, it made me very excited. I think the Spanish league is the best in the world."

The Iranian footballer added that "Ever since Nekounam joined Osasuna team, Osasuna team is a well known team among Iranian fans. Nekounam has always spoke highly of Osasuna club, the facilities and the fans."

On Osasuna's technical characteristics, Shojaei said: "I try to help the team as per the coach's requests. I am naturally an attacking player, so I consider myself an offensive midfielder."

Masoud Shojaei closed his presentation speech by saying that: "The fact that Nekounam is here is a great support to me. I am ready to work and learn from him and from the entire team. I have come here to work hard. I am a hard worker. " 

Regarding Shojaei's arrival at the club, the Sports Director of CA Osasuna, Juan Jose Lorenzo said that "I hope that, above all, his football show us what we have seen from him during the two years that we have been following him. We also hope that his adaptation is as good as that of Nekounam. That will be important to enable him to develop his game. He is a player who will provide us with solutions in attack. You can play him in two positions and I think he is going to adapt well to our game."
