Andranik in action as Fulham scrape past Ulsan

ULSAN: Ulsan Hyundai failed to emulate fellow K-League side Busan I’Park’s winning performance against touring English Premier League side Fulham, falling 2-1 at the Big Crown Stadium on Saturday.

AFC

Busan had edged Fulham 1-0 on Wednesday and it looked like they would end their two-match Asian tour without a win when Lee Jin-ho headed the hosts in front from six yards on 32 minutes past new signing and Australian national team goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer.

However, the English side recovered strongly and went close twice before Simon Davies leveled the scores in the 57th minute with a header from the penalty spot after connecting to a Jimmy Bullard long pass.

Korean international Seol Ki-hyun was instrumental in the winning goal after he sent in a cross from the byline to the backpost which was duly fired in from close range by Zoltan Gera but palmed away by Kim Young-kwang. Gera put the ball away in the resulting melee to put Fulham ahead.

Another Asian player Andranik Teymourian should have added the third in the dying minutes but the Iran international managed to send his shot over the bar.
