At the end of the controversial dispute between Rah Ahan and Sanat Naft to promote to IPL, Rah Ahan was the team to get promoted last season. Although Firooz karimi was always the man to take 1st division teams to Professional league, Rah Ahan did not do well last season.

Although Rah Ahan was tactically a good team, Rah Ahan players’ lack of experience and having poor finishings were the main reasons for Rah Ahan’s poor results in the 5th season of IPL.
Firooz Karimi’s disagreement with Rah Ahan officials lead to his departure from the team and Rah Ahan finished 13 with the new coach, Forooz Tabani.

For this season, Rah Ahan has employed Abas Razavi in coaching team, who has work experience in Stokholm Academy of Football as well as in Esteghlal.

Rah Ahan signed 9 new players for the upcoming season, with the most important transfer being Sohrab Entezari from Perspolis. In return they sold 4 players, with no major transfer in selling players.

Rah Ahan’s prepration plan was to play different Friendly games which the most noticeable one was their game against Iran National team.
