Goochannejhad: If Carlos Quiroz wasn’t here we wouldn’t be going to the World Cup

Reza Goochannejhad, the Team Melli striker who has scored 9 goals in his 13 appearances and is visiting his hometown of Mashad for the first time in twenty years made the statement in a setting with local reporters. He continued by saying that Carlos Quiroz is one of the most respected coaches in Europe and that he wishes that he continues to guide Team Melli after the world Cup. In regards to the recently completed camp he said “conditions in the Austrian camp were superb to get ready for the most important match of the World Cup for Team Melli against Nigeria. We played well in the three friendlies in Austria, specially the second half of the match against Angola; hopefully it will continue”.
